A compassionate physician who offered free medicines to the needy, he believed that true healing extended beyond the clinic. Together with his devoted wife, Shakuntala Devi, their elder son Sh. Naresh Goel and with help of other community members, he started a free food bhandara at the local Shiv Mandir for Kanwariyas and temple visitors at the time of Shraavan Shivratri. With contributions from kind-hearted locals and their own resources, they served warm, nourishing meals to anyone who came hungry \u2014 no questions asked, no expectations in return.<\/p><p>This act of <em>Anna Daan<\/em> \u2014 the sacred offering of food \u2014 was more than charity; it was an expression of love, dharma and the belief that feeding the hungry is one of the highest forms of service.
